About the position

The individual in this role assumes a leadership position within the field surveying team, ensuring the accurate and efficient execution of all surveying projects. They are responsible for directing the survey crew's activities, operating surveying instruments, and ensuring data collection adheres to the highest standards of precision and accuracy. Additionally, they collaborate closely with office personnel to ensure projects are completed within budget and in a timely manner. With a strong foundation in surveying practices, the Crew Chief interprets plans, conducts field calculations, and maintains/calibrates all equipment effectively.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years of experience in surveying
• Proficient in at least 1 of 3 surveying categories (houseline, construction, survey)
• Willingness to work outdoors and in various weather conditions.
• Experience in construction staking, boundary, topo, etc
• Familiarity with Trimble software (R12) and equipment
• Valid driver's license with minimum 5 years driving experience and clean driving record
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Willingness to work outdoors
• Willingness and ability to meet contract specifications 

Pay:

• Minimum $34 an hour depending on experience
